Yes, it’s not surprising that a famous female (or male, for that matter — how long did P. Diddy/Puffy/Puff Daddy have the best-selling men’s cologne?) to come out with her own perfume. But there are a few things that strike me about it, and because I think if Eva and I were friends she’d be cool with this, I’d like to make fun of her for a moment.
Eva’s going to launch her own perfume line, WWD.com says. Of course, her allergy to the stuff isn’t going to stop her.
Actually, it’s the allergy that has caused her to come out with a lighter smell for people with sensitive noses.
“I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique,” she said. “I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”
The perfume — called Eva by Eva Longoria — is the other thing I’d like to make fun of her for.
So …. what you’re saying is, you’ve created a smell that doesn’t smell and named it your name?
In all seriousness, though, I wish Chanukah hadn’t just passed so I could buy my mom a perfume finally that doesn’t make her carsick.
The perfume will be out in the spring. Just in time for Mother’s Day!

She looks beautiful in that picture you posted. That dress looks like its from The Beyonce Experience tour. Beyonce is also coming out with her first perfume next spring and shes also supposed to be allergic to perfumes I heard. And they did a commercial for Loreal this year together. Eva also borrowed Beyonce’s wig for this photo shoot. And they were also at the same NBA All star basketball game last summer and they took a photo together.
….And thats my random list of Beyonce and Eva similarities. All of its true except for the wig thing.
There is this awful perfume that a nurse I worked with used to wear. It was powdery and floral and smelled horrific! (They made her stop wearing it because of all of the complaints from the nursing home residents) I’m trying to think of the name of it here. Ummm… Oh yes. “White Shoulders” by Evyan. AWFUL! Pee-yew!
