We’ve got four GOOD sneak peeks for the next episode, which airs on Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
Check them out here, at TV Overmind.
Let’s walk through them, one by one.
Sneak peek 1: we’ve got what’s obviously a flashback to when Susan found out that Karl had cheated on her, and she needs to know all the sordid details. This, to me, is definitive proof that Karl dies. We wouldn’t have a flashback about him unless he died.
Sneak peek 2: Gaby’s taking Celia to an audition for a commercial. This seems like an odd little storyline. Does this mean that Celia, too, dies? And Gaby’s having a flashback, wishing she hadn’t pushed her? That, or, Lynette saving Celia maybe made Gaby more appreciative of what she had?
Sneak peek 3: This is the spoiler we all knew was coming. Lynette is going to lose one baby to save another one, and they’re going to have to make that decision. I hope we’ll get to see more about the accident and how she actually fell. This one directly plays into…
Sneak peek 4: Lynette with a developmentally disabled son, obviously a flash forward. If ever there was a TV character in the history of TV characters who’d be able to handle a disabled son — while teaching them to be strong, independent person — it’s Lynette. I can’t wait to see this.

Lynette imagines her having another SON? I’d think she’d want to have a girl
.
Mona survives? What is she, McGyver, ROFL? But all ends good, so …
When i first found these sneak peeks a day ago, I also discovered some BIGGER SPOILERS AHEAD…
SPOILER ALERT:
Karl, Orson, Bree, Lynette, Celia & Mona Clark are all in the hospital! Obviously Lynette was injured: when she rushed to save Celia she tripped and fell into a large Christmas box/deocration set up on the lane where she just happened to bump her stomach. Celia is going to be fine but of course Gaby and Carlos realize they owe Lynette everything for saving their daughters life. Mona is shockingly still alive! Lynette will have to go into surgery when she learns that, while one of her babies is fine, other is in danger. And as for the “big cliffhanger ending,” the one who dies is deffinately…
is deffinately going to be Karl! Orson is going to be paralyzed as we foresaw.
And so, the “What If…” fantasies begin…
Susan recalls how she and Karl were happy at the beginning of their marriage until she found the lipstick on the shirt and she found out about all of his “women.” After that, Susan divorced him, of course. But she suddenly wonders…
“WHAT IF… I hadn’t divorced Karl.” Susan will eat to hide her feelings. She will eventually get very fat and it won’t be until several years when she finally realizes she must leave him. Susan than realizes how much of her life she would have missed had she stayed with Karl when she imagines seeing Mike married with another women.
As she is about to have the surgery, Lynette will wonder:
“WHAT IF… my baby is going to be a mentally disabled child.” Her son will be very difficult as a young child and she will try to encouracge him to help himself rather than she doing everything for him. Although it’s hard, he will eventually grow up to graduate where he credits her for encouraging him to work hard.
With the realization that Celia is going to survive, Gaby begins to imagine what kind of future her daughter will have. She than thinks…
“WHAT IF… Celia is destined to be an actress.” Gaby will push Celia to make her life (and Gaby’s) revolve around Celia acting. She is constantly forced by Gaby to go to acting classes rather than do what she wants. It is not until Gaby is in her sixtys and living alone with Celia that Celia finally reveals she doesn’t want to be an actress.
After Bree learns Karl’s dead, the tragic news will cause her to imagine:
“WHAT IF…” Karl survived and I married him.” Her life with Karl will turn out as many would expect… After years, Orson is found dead! When she goes to see him, she discovers several old pictures of her and the two of them together. It is revealed to her that he never had any other girl friends and she knows that he really has never stopped loving her.
Mona Clark is still alive! Angie is frightened that she will wake up and reveal her secrets prompting her to wonder…
“WHAT IF… my secrets are revealed.” Angie is arrested and questioned about the location of other criminals. When she goes on trial, she pleads that she never intended for anyone to get hurt. She is sentenced to life in prison…
The episode will climax: Mona finally dies and Angie is afraid about her past but is still safe… for now. Lynette will sadly lose the baby, however, her other one is fine. Gaby and Lynette will solve their problems and the episode will likely end with the funeral of Karl.
So there you have it! Again,I’m like 99% sure the spoilers accurate. They seem to be when you think about it. Were “surprised?”
I can’t wait to see this episode. It really looks good.
Karl died I think but why Susan remembers the time Karl telling who he cheated with? When we lost someone we remember only the good memories. Gaby remembers a cute memory. After Edie died we learn all the housewives had good times with Edie.
I loved Lynette’s part with future son.
