Gadgenista Review: Bento From File Maker - Fashion Software For the Obsessive Compulsive!

bento.jpg

I received my copy of Bento around 3 weeks ago and it’s only now that I’ve finally gotten some time on my hands! Been a bit busy with some stuff either at work and personal things :P

Anyway, read on for my review of Bento from File Maker!

What is Bento?
Bento is basically a personal database that you can customize for your daily needs. Whether you’re a student, a teacher, an entrepreneur or a business person, you can use Bento to organize your daily activities. If there’s such a thing called fashion hardware, I’d like to call Bento a fashion software!

What I Like About Bento?
Well, for one thing, I love it’s simplicity and user-friendliness (just remember to watch the tutorial video or read up on the manual, hehe!).

There are several templates that you can readily use. And you can easily customize these templates, like delete some forms and text boxes or add new ones. And if you’re more obsessive-compulsive you can make templates from scratch!

I for one use Bento to organize the contests I do for Gadgenista. I use it to keep track of the details of my prize sponsors and the winners and the link to the URL of the contest.

What I really love about Bento is how it meshes everything together. I just have to open up my Bento, and it has links to everything I need for a certain project. There’s a feature there where you can link the URL and all the files (like pictures, audio files, etc) that you used for that certain project. I don’t have to go to Finder and search for whatever it is I’m searching for!

So if you’re looking for a personal database organizer, I definitely recommend getting Bento :)
