Here are more photos of the Danish royal family during the welcome ceremony for Greek president Dr. Karolos Papoulias and his wife, Mrs. May Panou Papoulia. After these are a couple during the gala, so click through for the rest of the post.
The welcome ceremony was held outdoors with a traditional parade in review. Queen Margrethe, Prince Consort Henrik, Prince Frederik, Princess Mary and Prince Joachim attended the ceremony.

The Danish royal family hosted a state banquet in honor of the visit by Greek dignitaries. The banquet was held at Fredensborg Castle on the evening of May 18.
State banquets are one of the best times to see the royals, because of the pomp that surrounds these affairs, and of course for the lovely gowns of the royal ladies! I only have photos of Crown Princess Mary now, but they don’t disappoint. She is lovely as ever, in her light blue ruffled gown and with her dashing husband, Crown Prince Frederik, by her side.
