This is such bull. This is nothing like Friends. Shows focus on the group of people that hang out together. Middleaged housewives in suburbia are usually white. end of story. Not to mention Gabby and Carlos are a diverse... hispanic.... family. Check out any predominantly black sitcom or movie... the same is true. Girlfriends, Meet the Browns, Fresh Prince, etc. Where are the white people? When shows go OUT OF THEIR WAYS to put in unfitting characters, whether it be age, gender, or ethnicity, it makes it obvious and the show loses its flow. Thank god the APPLEWHITES ARE GONE. I never thought they would be staying on a regular basis. I knew they would be gone eventually. And to say there is "NO diversity" would be inaccurate. Gabrielle & Carlos are a latino family, last time I looked?? And their characters have done wonders for the latino community (and I'm not talking about the storylines). But the latino community has not had characters in major roles on TV, who are the richest on the block instead of maids or other stereotypical roles. I think all shows can do with more diveristy....but to say DH is at the zero mark isn't fair or accurate.
