Several reports are swirling around the Webs about how “one of the causalities is a husband who finds himself paralyzed and becomes quite the little household tyrant from his wheelchair” (according to E!’s Kristin dos Santos).
Is it safe to assume that it’s Orson? If Karl dies, Bree might realize she should stay with Orson — and she was having doubts about the divorce anyway — and then he’s paralyzed, and to get her back, forces her to serve him?
Although, now that I think about it, as we already know, Tom will need to see a therapist after the plane crash. We don’t know why he needs to see one. Maybe he’s been paralyzed and needs help getting through it?

@LMITCHELL, ahhh, I loved that scene. I still ship Bree/Rex >>>>>>> Bree/Orson. Even when Orson wasn’t such a jerk, I still didn’t like them together.
Seriously, I wish there was some way to contact the writers directly about these fan opinions.
I hate Orson too! He’s so manipulative. He’s done so many horrible things. I don’t feel sorry for Orson at all, even though the writers etc. were trying to make us feel sorry for him in the last episode. Bree is in love with Karl now. Bree even admitted to Karl that she has feelings for him, and in episode 6X09 she admitted to him and Susan that she loves him. Too bad Orson didn’t kick the bucket instead of Karl.
Same! Like i said before, i’ve hated Orson since, well basically day one! And any sympathy i had for him in the last episode is not enough for me to hope he survives over Karl.
And back to the “love of her life thing” I GET IT! Ok? I was just trying to point out that BREE LOVES KARL. Sure you can go ahead and say that Rex was the love of her life! I agree. I wasn’t really thinking about anything when i wrote that first comment except for the fact that bree is in love with Karl.
As Bree Van de Kamp Hodge (maybe Mayer) expert, I can totally give you some proof on the whole love of her life thing… Bree actually said to Andrew that his father is the love of her life in season one when they are talking about getting a divorce (before he dies). If you watch it and really listen, she really means it. Or at least, was supposed to. Marcia Cross is such a great actress sometimes I forget she is one.
I love Bree and Rex, I really do… But I am in lust with Karl myself. I hope Orson dies a horrible death. Ew.

Well in episode nine (before the crash episode) Bree admited to Susan (and Karl) that she really did love Karl. That’s also something that she’s been coming to terms with throughout the entire season thus far! And yeah I guess Rex could be the “love of her life” but i was referring to a love that is still alive! My point: she loves Karl, he’s dead, now she’s gotta put up with Orson (again)!
As far as Tom goes, and, as all of you might have guessed: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder? Let’s see… His wife just rushed in front of a plane to save a child and could have died. He might one of their unborn children. He’s got the whole Lynette / Gaby and Carlos feud. The pizza business is [long] gone and his dream of school was crushed. On top of all that — he witnessed the plane crash itself.
I’d need psychiatric help for the plane crash in itself!

HAHAHA I totally forgot about Alma and Orson’s mom. that was the season where he was at his best.

I hope the DH gods don’t make him into more of a douche than he already his. I really want to see Orson make a comeback and be a respectable man. Is that possible after everything hes done to Mike and Bree? and Edie? he seems to be hidden route behind all of the major misfortunes.

Maybe Lynette loses the babies while saving Celia (crashes to the ground…. lands on the baby belly)? Maybe that’s why Tom has to go to counseling (we know he was way way into them, and Lynette was slightly less so).
@jj543: What do you mean by “love of her life”? Meaning her current love or her biggest love? Because how could Karl be the love of Bree’s life when they only pretty much had sex? The love of her life is either Orson or Rex, I’m pretty sure of that.

It sounds pretty likely that Orson will be the one paralyzed. Although, I do find that quite sad considering his mother, Gloria was left paralyzed in season three. Mother like son, I guess…
Tom is seen literally RUNNING to the scene of the crash in the last like ten seconds of the episode. No way he’s been paralyzed. It’s deffinately Orson. I’m disappointed if it’s true that Bree’s going to stay with Orson just cause she feels sorry for him. I mean like, what? she just lost the love of her life in a plane crash and now she’s got a put up with a bitter, cranky, “broken” man out for revenge. Poor Bree! Can’t she just be happy. Although it would be funny if all of this drama leads her back to alcohol!
