Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has pulled a back muscle which prevented him from accompanying Queen Elizabeth on an official visit today, January 27, 2009.
Queen Elizabeth opened the new Information Technology classroom at the Flitcham Primary School, near Sandringham. The visit involved walking around the school and standing for about an hour, which would have been uncomfortable for the Duke. However, the injury wasn’t serious enough for the Duke to cancel all his engagements for the day.
No cause for the injury was given by Buckingham Palace.
In October 2006, the Queen had to cancel a visit to the Emirates Stadium due to a strained back. At that time, Prince Philip filled in for her at the stadium engagement.

Dear Mountbatten-Windsors,
It’s great to see the royal family bursting with such infectious smiles that have been so well captured on film. Finally, we can see the warmth within them that I know that they possess.
Hopefully,, your transformations and new lifestyles will usher in the peace and freedom which has eluded you for decades.
…embrace your freedom don’t be afraid of it… this is a year of rejoicing…
…our past does shape our future. It’s up to you if you allow it to restrict you from having a happy and fulfilling life.
I know that the family has been to hell and back. However, you have all survived. I know that it does not erase the pain, humiliation and hurt that you have been subjected to, but sometimes difficult circumstaces and horrific experiences are necessary to make us stronger as well as teach us to appreciate our lives and God.
…Telling you to release a negative past is easier said than done but you all can do it as long as you believe it, it will come to fruition
… step by step…
…if you stumble sometimes that’s alright as long as you resume your attempts to change your lives. You will be better and happier for it. I do commend you all for being so receptive to all my suggestions with regards to changing your lives whether physically or your residences. Thanks for accepting my vision for you. I am only attempting to acquire the bes t for you. Whatever I do for you is what I deem to be in your best interest. You are not obliged to do anything for me in return… just see it as someone who believes in the monarchy… someone who has seen the monarchy ravaged almost to extinction and vowed that I will help it to recover and regain it’s powers if I ever had the opportunity. Everyone is not bad and want to exploit or destroy you. I hope that you can find genuine people in the future to surround you and that you are not too scarred from your past experiences to allow them in. God will guide you with your choices.
The most I was able to do was provide you with personal genuine staff. Hopefully, you will gain genuine loyal friends who will like you for just being you and not because you are royals.
Best wishes….
May God continue to bless, potect and sustain you.
With fondest thoughts,
Stace
