Prince William and Kate Middleton at the RAF ‘wings’ ceremony in April 2008.
Even as Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy’s relationship ended, Prince William and Kate Middleton have strengthened theirs. There are signs that Prince William and Kate’s lives continue get more intertwined, and may eventually lead to a marriage. Consider the following:
- Kate has shown a keen interest to take up deer hunting (source). She has already been to several pheasant shoots with Prince William, Prince Harry and Prince Charles. Kate will reportedly do some deer-stalking target practice over the summer. From the photos I’ve seen, it looks like Kate really has fun during the shoots, and it is not something she feels forced to go along with. Having a shared interest or hobby with Prince William and the royal family bodes well for their relationship.
- Prince William has rented a cottage near the RAF base in Shawbury, Shrops (source). It is expected that Kate will be a regular visitor there. The prince’s living space in the RAF base are not what we may call ‘girlfriend-worthy’ accommodations. The cottage is being seen as Prince William providing a way for him and Kate to spend time together regularly and in comfort.
Though Prince William’s training as a helicopter training will last for 18 months, it appears that he and Kate have determined to make the most of it and find ways to spend quality time together.
