Two mysterious deaths, two countries.
Today in the U.S., Anna Nicole Smith’s death is headline news. In Spain, there is shock over the death of Erika Ortiz Rocasolano, the youngest sister of Princess Letizia.
The 31-year-old was found dead in the Madrid house which she shared with her sister Letizia before she married.
No reason for her death was given but it was known she had been suffering from depression for some time.
Erika Ortiz, a producer for a television company, separated from her husband Antonio Vigo last year. Like Anna Nicole, she left behind a daughter, 6-year-old Carla.
I feel sad most of all for the two young daughters, who will now have to face the world without their mothers.
