* Prince Charles has cancelled an annual ski trip to Klosters, Switzerland as part of his efforts to become more environmentally responsible. The Prince of Wales has been criticized for his decision to fly to the U.S. later this month to accept an environmental award, among other activities. (via Independent Online).

* After her trip to the Falkland Islands and to Antarctica, Princess Anne arrived in Chile today. She will be spending 3 days there, during which she’ll visit Punta Arenas, Viña del Mar, Valparaiso and Santiago. (via MercoPress)

* The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, visited the football club West Ham in Upton Park earlier this week, to meet the club’s new Icelandic owners. (via Iceland Review)

* The Queen’s residence in Scotland had an electrical problem that resulted in a minor fire last week. No one was injured in the incident at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. (via BBC)

* Prince Harry took it up himself to protect his girlfriend Chelsy Davy from paparazzi as she arrived at Heathrow Airport last week. The prince politely asked the photographers to let her arrive quietly, and the pack were happy enough to oblige. (via The Royalist)

* Chelsy Davy was seen in a TopShop dress, which is not her usual designer style. She may be following Kate Middleton’s lead, who wore a dress from the shop on her 25th birthday. Expect TopShop’s stock to shoot up as a result of these endorsements from the royal sweethearts. (via Daily Mail)

* Prince Harry missed a training march last week, after a late night clubbing with his girlfriend Chelsy. Some of his men were upset at his absence, while a royal spokesman justified the prince as being on an approved day off. (via The Sun)
