Room for two redheads? Swoosie Kurtz to join the cast of ‘Desperate Housewives’

She’s already got the best name in Hollywood, and now she’ll join the cast of “Desperate Housewives” in episode 17 (and upping the show’s redhead quotient.)

Episode 14 airs this Sunday.

Swoosie Kurtz comes from playing the always-drunk Aunt Lily on “Pushing Daisies” to be a “potential love interest” for someone on “Desperate Housewives,” according to E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos.

Swoosie also played John Locke’s mother in an episode “Lost” and she was pheNOMenal.

Kristin’s surmising that Swoosie’ll be related to Bree or Katherine. Either way, she assures us it’ll be juicy. Do I smell a homewrecker? The episode should air sometime in March!

“Pushing Daisies” and “Desperate Housewives” were the only two shows I could watch regularly — and then there was one. :(

This is happy news indeed. I’ve loved Swoozie since “Sisters” back in the day!
