DESPERATE FOR DESPERATE COUNTDOWN: 75 days
Oh MAN I’ve just learned some good stuff about this new family. I’ve been kinda worried about season 6, and I’m not sure why. I think we had such a great pickup with the five-year flash forward in season 5 that I’m worried it’ll be a letdown from here on out? Plus, no Edie? At least 38 percent of the show’s drama left with that woman. (I don’t know how I came up with that number, but it seems like a good percentage, right?)
OK, enough rambling! On to the spoilers:
Drea de Matteo, Jeffrey Nordling and Beau Mirchoff are going to be the Vitale family — Drea’s Angie, Jeffrey will play her husband, Nick, and Beau will play Dominic, the “intense 19-year-old,” according to tvsquad.com.
As I mentioned earlier, they’re Italian and are coming from New York. This, I think, will bring a new feel to this street. We’ve got a lot of the wealthy California thing, but what about the wealthy NYCers? It’s about time we brought some good east coast pizza to the neighborhood.
Nick Vitale will be a landscape designer who (this is where the serious spoilers begin. Stop reading if you don’t want to know!) calls Dominic impulsive and emotional. Dominic’s gonna need help with school, and get help with a tutor. This sounds like a perfect role for Julie Mayer — who we already know is coming back to the show.
Like most of the new families that come to Wisteria Lane, the Vitales have moved around a lot and even though Angie’s got doubts about moving to the block, Nick’s sure it was a good choice.
And, of course, like the Applewhites, the Vitales have a secret. What do we think it could be? My theories? Something mob-related.
The more I find out about this season, the more I can’t wait ANOTHER MINUTE. But, alas, I’ve got some time (75 days, to be exact.)
