Whoooooa, Betty Applewhite! It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Alfre Woodard out about about, eh?
She was caught walking on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills this weekend — trying hard not to be noticed. Weee seeeeee yoooouuu, Alfre!
I never was super in love with the Applewhite’s storyline, but there’s something about Alfre that I love and can’t quite verbalize. What is it about her? Whatever it is, Helen Mirren’s got the same thing. It’s like chutzpah….with a noble edge?

I know what it is. She has the ability to seem guilty and suspicious while at the same time lovable and genuine. I like her too. I feel like I know her in real life and she is one of my own aunts.

Alfre is a fantastic actress, everyone agrees on that. She takes whatever role and makes it memorable for her performance. I hope Betty Applewhite comes back to the lane with a more intriguing story and with a more active role on the street.
