Teri Hatcher told OK! Magazine that she’s a fantastic babysitter and would be happy to watch the first kids, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, if the Obamas ever wanted to take a break for a date night.
“I end up being the great babysitter at every event I ever go to,” Teri said. “They’d come my way and I’d be the babysitter, which would be just fine.”
Teri and her daughter, Emerson Rose, 11, went to the to inauguration on Tuesday together and are shown above at the Huffington Post Pre-Inaugural Ball at the Newseum in Washington, DC., on Monday.
Teri goes on to say that if Michelle and Barack aren’t in need of a sitter, she’d be happy to set up a play-date with Emerson Rose and the first daughters.
Funny aside: (Neighbor) Peggy used to know a guy in college who had a hilarious (and now dead) band named Emerson Rose. I always think of that when I hear Teri’s daughter’s name. Is this a worse situation for Emerson Rose the daughter, or Emerson Rose the band?
Less-funny aside: How ADORABLE is Emerson Rose (the girl, not the band)?? She’s certainly not the style icon that Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon (she’s 12) is, but girl is freakin’ cuuuuute.

I think its funny how celebrities keep offering to babysit the first kids(anne hathaway did as well on the jimmy kimmel show).
Seriously, the Obamas could have any and every professional child care worker in America watch their kids. That would be terrible if they chose celebrities to watch them instead! haha
anyways, I was JUST reading a JustJared post and thinking to myself “lourdes will have her own clothing line by time shes 15,” so its funny that you mentioned her. Terri’s daughter has such an angelic smile.
