It’s time to throw a party everyone. The writer’s strike is OVER!
Walt Disney chief executive Michael Eisner has revealed to CNBC that a deal has been made. “It’s over,” Eisner said. “They made the deal, they shook hands on the deal. It’s going on Saturday to the writers in general.”
He also said that he knows the writer’s will be back to work very soon and that the deal was actually stuck last Friday. As far as the writer’s jobs, it seems that there will be a few changes; “many of the writers who went on strike are unlikely to return to the same big-money contracts they’d had as individuals with the studios” said Eisner.
If you’ll remember, Desperate Housewives’ creator Marc Cherry said that Valentine’s Day was the magic day and if an agreement was made by then, we could expect new episodes in April/May.
So, who’s completely excited?!
