For his christening, baby James will wear a special hand-made gown, patterned after the christening gown of Queen Victoria’s daughter. The original gown has been worn at many royal christenings and is now being preserved. The new gown, commissioned by James’ grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, will be worn for the first time on Saturday.

Senior British royals will attend the christening at Windsor Castle.
