The Royal Channel has released this video of the State Banquet that Queen Elizabeth hosted for India’s President Pratibha Patil and her husband Dr Devisingh Ramsingh Shekhawat.
Shown are the guests entering St. George’s Hall in Windsor Castle, Queen Elizabeth’s welcome message and President Patil’s response . We see glimpses of Princess Anne, Prince Charles, Prince Philip, Camilla (we see only her back and her tiara) and the other guests gathered at the long dining table. The gorgeous arrangements made for such a formal dinner are in full view. Everything is coordinated down to the last second, with servers cued discreetly using signal lights.
The State Visit by India ended yesterday, with a farewell ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
