This picture of Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria scrubbing her floor in lingerie may be sexy, but in real life cleaning tile and hardwood floors is anything but! My husband and I recently moved into a huge apartment that only has hardwood floors. We went out and bought a vacuum that claimed it could do hardwood, but it just doesn’t cut it. After vacuuming I was curious to see how good a job it did so I swept the same area and found a whole pile of dirt still on the floor. (I feel like such a Desperate Housewife!)
Does anyone out there have any advice? I want something that can clean large areas of hardwood floors and maybe ever vacuum my area rugs as well.
There are also cleaners that can scrub and vacuum your floors but I think they don’t do any carpet which would be annoying seeing as we also are planning on buying rugs. GRR!
If any vacuum companies out there want me to try out your products send them my way and I’ll be sure to try them out and review them on this website for all our Desperate Housewives out there.

I’ve got a swiff wet jet. It does a rather good job of cleaning and picking up the let over bits if you sweep before you use it. cant help with the rugs though! I have the same problem as you.
