The 15-inch Mac Book Pro also got a make-over yesterday!
Same with the new Mac Books, the 15-inch Mac Book Pro also has the new two-toned look with it’s black keypads and black-framing around it’s glossy LED.
But aside from having an aesthetic make-over, the new Mac Book Pro are now equipped with the Advanced NVIDIA graphics processors! The Mac Book Pro features an integrated NVIDIA 9400M and a high performance NVIDIA 9600 GT discrete graphics processor for the more graphics intensive computer activities. You can switch between the two graphics processor, the 9400 if you want to save battery life, or to the 9600 if you’re gaming or digital editing.
New 15-inch Mac Book Pro Specs:
- 2.4 Ghz or 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
- 2GB or 4GB memory
- 250GB or 320GB hard drive
- NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 256MB or NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
- Multi-Touch trackpad
Price: $1,999 – $2,499
It’s just really funny that they kind of ignored the 17-inch Mac Book Pro. If you check out Apple Store, the 17-inch Mac Book Pro is still at $2,799 and is still equipped with the old NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT.
I wonder if they’re planning to phase out the 17-inch model soon. Hmmm!

These new Mac Book Pros are bleeding edge pieces of hardware. The multitouch trackpad (without the buttons) is definitely intriguing. You can always rely on Apple in coming up with revolutionary toys.
