Time magazine and the Pew research center did a survey of Americans to ask them their opinions about marriage. Here are some of the findings:
- 24 percent think it’s easier for single people to get ahead in the business world
- 41 percent of women said that marriage might be becoming obsolete
- 67 percent think it’s important for a male spouse to be able to support a family financially
- 64 percent of unmarried people who live with a partner would like to get married
