Prince Harry met the awardees and their families, interacting easily with them in his charming way. He also presented the award for Best Brave Child in the 2-5 year old category.

In his speech, Prince Harry recalled his past years at the award ceremony (this is his third), and said that “each time I come away humbled by the extraordinary young people that I’ve met”.

The kids clearly enjoyed having Prince Harry as their special guest that night. Prince Harry, too, was just having fun and even cuddled a little baby (lucky tyke)!

WellChild, of which Prince Harry is patron, is a charity dedicated to helping sick children and their families in the U.K.

AHN is reporting that Jules Knight, a singer friend of the couple, has revealed that Prince William and Kate have decided to wait until at least 2012 before they marry.

"They’ve decided not to marry just yet. William wants to wait until he is 30 and Kate is fine with that."

Prince William is said to be planning to concentrate on his RAF career; Kate, on the other hand, is confident of her prince’s commitment to their relationship and is willing to wait.

These rumors are a departure from what we usually hear (ie., that the two will get married sooner rather than later. I remember the poll from earlier this year. If this report is true, it looks like a quarter of you got it fairly right, that an engagement will be announced during Prince William’s time at the RAF, and the wedding will happen after his service.

Meanwhile, on the Prince Harry-Chelsy Davy front, it looks like there might be chance that they could get back together. 

News of the World is reporting that the couple spent a significant chunk of time together at Prince Harry’s lodgings at Clarence House. According to the article, the two partied at Raffles on Saturday night, met up at Clarence House and watched DVDs until Sunday night.

I want to know what you think of these reports! True, false? Are we to wait until 2012 (or even later) for Prince William and Kate’s wedding? Will Prince Harry and Chelsy really patch things up and stay together this time around?

Princess Anne is one of the busiest, if not the busiest, of the British royals. She has engagements on most days of the week, sometimes even more than one per day. Yet she rarely gets widespread press coverage for the events she goes to. She simply goes on with her job, meeting with people and supporting various organizations around the U.K. She is a no-fuss, no-muss working royal, one to be admired for her dedication and commitment. I’m sure these kids were thrilled to meet her.

Prince Henry Charles Albert David (Prince Harry) turned 25 today!

The prince is spending his birthday just like any other day, on training to become a pilot with the Royal Air Force.

Something has changed for him, however. With this birthday, Prince Harry will receive part of his inheritance from his mother Princess Diana. According to Princess Diana’s will, her sons will be given the income from a portion of her estate, estimated to be worth almost $22 million, upon their 25th birthday.

In addition to taking part in the competition, Zara has other connections to the Burghley Trials. The course was designed by her father, Captain Mark Phillips, and the event itself is being sponsored by Land Rover, for whom Zara has made an ad.

Today, Zara showed her support for the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund, of which she is patron:

Spectators have much to do during the four days of the popular trials. Hundreds of booths with various merchandise offer a great shopping experience. The trials run from September 3-6, 2009.

The wedding was held today, August 14, at the Guards Chapel, which is near Buckingham Palace. Capt. Van Cutsem, 31, is an Army officer who is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan at the end of the year.

Prince William was accompanied to the event by his girlfriend Kate Middleton. Kate wore a blue silk-brocade coat over a white dress for the occasion. Prince William was apparently teased by his friend that he’ll be next down the aisle.

Zara’s mother Princess Anne, Mike and some of their friends were on hand to watch Zara compete in the cross-country and show jumping events. Zara didn’t ride Toytown, her champion horse, at this meet. In today’s competitions, she rode Secret Legacy instead.

It looks like Zara and Mike are getting homey. The two bought a 5-bedroom £800,000 home in Gloucestershire last April and are currently renovating. Once it’s done, the couple will move out from their apartment on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate, where they have been living together for more than two years.

The new home is considerably smaller than the country house that the two were considering last year. Unlike that one, which was estimated at £1.75 million, the property on Gloucestershire has no room for Zara’s horses.

Right on the heels of the purchase come intense speculation that the two are very much ready to marry. Mike has, in fact, said that they will marry, but at “the right time”. So, of course, royal watchers are on the alert for an engagement announcement.

Mike and Zara are such a happy-looking couple. They definitely share an interest in sports, and recently competed as part of a team in a charity yacht race. These photos were taken aboard the Artemis II on August 5, 2009.

The photos were taken when Prince William and Kate stepped outside the pub called The Potting Shed, a popular watering hole among polo players. Though the shots don’t show the couple’s faces, it is pretty clear that they are very much into each other. As an onlooker reportedly said, “The spark is clearly still there.”

Now, surely, the whispers that the two have drifted apart and simply stay together out of habit would be laid to rest? Of course, on the other end of that spectrum are the speculations that, based on such a display of affection, they will get married next month! (Not that I’m saying they will, mind you).

I like to believe that Prince William and Kate Middleton know what they’re doing. They’re old enough to be able to plan for themselves, and consider what they both want out of their relationship. Clearly, they have a strong bond, and I’m glad to see that they continue to have the spark for each other.

Obviously, such a report fuels speculations of an impending engagement between Prince William and Kate. Also from the said aide is the news that Prince William and Kate have been invited to spend their Bank Holiday in August at the main castle at Balmoral. During previous visits, the pair stayed at lodgings on the estate but not at the castle itself.

If Kate will indeed have lunch alone with the Queen, there can only be topic of serious discussion, and that is the change in Kate’s life upon marrying a future king.

As always, it is hard to know the accuracy of reports like this. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens, as we’ve always done.
