No, I’m completely serious.
Here at TheGloss we love Elizabeth Taylor. A lot. Bunches. All the bunches. Not just because she wrote a book about her pet chipmunk, although that’s one good reason to love her. Also because she was a great actress and a style legend and a wit.
Meanwhile, we have… super conflicted feelings about Lindsay Lohan. We kind of want her to get better, but we also kind of think she’s a spray tanned mess who is mostly just good at being naked in Marilyn Monroe themed photoshoots at this point.

I think Nibbles, Elizabeth Taylor’s chipmunk friend, is probably the most important and exciting “news item” of the day/week. The children’s book – which Taylor wrote at 14 – contains “photographs of the two friends together” and chapters like “Concerning, Among Other Things, My Most Wonderful Birthday” (I don’t want to spoil anything, but Nibbles gets a friend!) She made her mark in classics like Butterfield 8, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf but the star’s outsized personal life made headlines just as often as her professional achievements: she was married eight times (to seven different men) and was a veritable one-liner producing machine. Even in Hollywood, Taylor (that’s Elizabeth, she didn’t like ‘Liz’) had a gigantic personality: a wry, self-deprecating wit and a big heart (she devoted much of her later years to work with HIV-related charities) packed into one of the world’s most legendary figures.
