U2’s Bono (center) and Jordan’s Queen Rania meet before proceeding to a dinner hosted by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni.

Jordan’s Queen Rania was invited to dinner by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni in Cap Negre in the French Riviera. Joining them were U2 frontman Bono.

Queen Rania met up with Bono to board a helicopter together on their way to their hosts’ villa. Bono and Queen Rania share a common passion, upholding human rights. It’s not surprising in the least that their paths would cross.

Queen Rania was on holiday in St Tropez, and was also seen at the Club 55 beach restaurant. Bono maintains a yacht in France, where he also entertains some of his Hollywood friends like the Jolie-Pitts.

]]> More hats as Royal Ascot continues into its second day. The Queen and Prince Philip arrived on a horse-drawn carriage as is customary for the meeting. Prince Charles and Camilla also made their appearance in the Royal Enclosure.

The British royals were joined at the races by another royal. Jordan’s Princess Haya Bint al-Hussein has a horse in the famous event in Ascot, England.
