Tim Gunn's Guide to Style: Tyson Beckford to guest star

Tyson Beckford, the male model that makes women of all ages swoon, will guest star tonight on Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style. Tim hands his client, Erica, over to Tyson for lessons on how to walk in a pair of 4 inch Brian Atwood pumps. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tyson strut down a runway in a pair of heels; have you?

Not sure how he’ll help Erica accomplish the heels, but as long as he’s on TV, who are we to judge? Or care.

Remember one of your favorite Style-Television shows, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style? Well, it’s back in action starting Thursday, October 2nd. I am so, so excited about this show, as it is one of my favorites when it is on the air. Gunn really approaches the notion of the makeover unlike anyone else, and really allows the makeover recipient to shine through without trying to navigate her style. Count me excited about this debut Thursday night!

I caught a repeat of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style (they’re repeating it on Slice in Canada), and I have to stress, once again, that Gunn is a master at the modern art of the TV makeover. He just makes people feel so great about themselves and their choices. I love that he and Veronica never put people down, but instead teach them why what they’re wearing isn’t what suits them best. Remember you can think a garment is hideous, but the truth is, it probably just isn’t right for you.

Think of all of fashion greats out there who are able to pull off some pretty terrible articles of clothing, but look fab doing it (SJP, Anna Piagi, and Dita Von Teese all come to mind). The point is, there’s something out there for all of us, it’s just sometimes we need a bit of help getting there.

More Guide to Styles air all this month on Slice, but when seems to be a bit of an issue. I just catch it at random times, but there must be some sort of method to the madness, so when I found out, so will you!
